Information for new lecturers
Information specifically for new lecturers at the teaching unit
Examination authorizations
- Information from FAU on examination administration can be found at Course and examination management in the campo portal – FAU intern (english)
- Apply for appointment as an examiner via the FAU Examinations Office: Examinations management for examiners – FAU intern (english)
- Processing may take some time. You should therefore submit your application as early as possible. Students must register for examinations via the campo portal during the lecture period. Students cannot register for their examinations via the campo portal without you being appointed as an examiner.
- Indicate on the form that you require access to campo.
- Once you have been appointed as an examiner, you can manage your examinations via the campo portal www.campo.fau.de.
- If you belong to a department chair or professorship, the professor must sign the application before you submit it to the Examinations Office.
- If you are directly examining teacher training students, a corresponding application must be submitted to the Examination Office for Teacher Training Students.
Have new courses and modules set up
- If you are new to our university, please inform the lecture planning department (vorlesungsplanung@math.fau.de) immediately of your courses for the coming semester.
- The content, learning objectives and skills of a course are collected in a module description. The module description also contains the form of examination and the exact applicability in the respective degree program. The module description is the basis for modeling a corresponding campo module.
- The creation or modification of a module takes some time and is coordinated in the teaching unit by the module administration (modulverwaltung@math.fau.de). If there is no campo module for a course, no corresponding examination can be taken.
- You can consult the examination regulations and the campo online module handbooks for information on applicability and forms of examination. You can also ask colleagues or academic advisors about this.
- Once the lecture has been created, you can enter further information for your students in the parallel groups.
